Living and loving are only a vowel apart.
Catuçaba and Picinguaba recognize different types of lifestyles. We embrace slow living, a more tranquil way of dealing with time and a more responsible use of natural resources. We create design and architecture that are in line with nature, and draw up possibilities of inhabiting places without losing sight of their natural beauty and the knowledge of locals.

Gallery
Where art finds
its home
The Catuçaba Gallery is the house of art of We Are Nature. Projected by the Belgian architect and friend Sven Mouton, it was built by Fazenda Catuçaba staff in collaboration with bamboo artisans from Camburi beach, in Ubatuba. Its construction is based entirely on the “golden ratio”. The bamboo, often referred to as “vegetable steel” due to its resistance and flexibility, is of local origin. The only parts of the construction not sourced locally were connecting pieces, made from wood and rods from outside the region. The fountain in the middle of the gallery was made by Luís Pedro Pavret, the oldest living inhabitant of the Fazenda, who is also responsible for the majority of its built spaces.
