All guest rooms at Catuçaba are intimately connected to life at the farm. As a result, they are composed by architecture that’s simple, beautiful and integrated with the nature surrounding it. Here, we invite a dive into a tranquil lifestyle — through our food and through the earth. All newer guest rooms were built with old, original materials; bricks, woods and shingles were resourced from sites from decades or even centuries past.
In close proximity to the main house, we have 3 villas that house a total of 7 rooms and 2 comfortable suites. Each boasts traditional countryside elements, and can receive up to three people. Suites also have fireplaces and bathtubs carved from black rocks.
A sliver of tall trees cradle the stream that flows behind the waterfall house. The relaxing sound of water trickling upon the rocks gives this place its name. Only 100 meters away from the main house, it is the perfect place for couples and families who wish to have a more private and spacious stay. In the summers, a cool breeze rolls through — beckoning an afternoon of dozing in a hammock while watching the water flow downstream.
The lake house is one of our best kept secrets — originally built in 1840, it was recently renovated and faces a 4 hectare lake, a way away from the rest of the Fazenda — it is the perfect spot for relaxing, contemplating nature and even taking a dip.
To honor the philosophy of connecting guests to nature, local culture and history, our accommodation does not carry televisions, fridges, telephones or internet service. We believe in profound experiences that instead connect us to the natural world and our inner essence. We are non-smoking places and we do not serve industrialized food such as sodas and meat that are not locally produced.
